Iberdrola SA on Wednesday declared a dividend of EUR 0.275 ($0.31) per share for 2026, up 8.7 percent from 2025 as the Spanish power utility sustains growth in networks.
That means a total of EUR 1.835 billion in interim dividends, compared with EUR 1.69 billion for last year.
"This new edition [of Iberdrola's remuneration policy] reaffirms the company's strong commitment to its shareholders: annual dividends have risen from EUR 482 million in 2000 to EUR 4.532 billion paid in 2025", Iberdrola said in an online statement.
Under the policy, shareholders may opt to receive new shares, claim the dividend in cash, sell their rights on the market or combine the alternatives.
For the first nine months of 2026 Iberdrola reported EUR 5.8 billion in net profit, up 10 percent year-on-year thanks to growth in the networks business across Iberdrola's countries of operation. Net profit adjusted for nonrecurring items for the January-September period rose nine percent year-over-year to EUR 5.1 billion.
Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization increased seven percent to EUR 11.9 billion, "driven by a 15 percent rise in Networks, reflecting higher asset base in all countries and increasing contribution from transmission assets", Iberdrola said in a separate statement of results.
Spain accounted for 38 percent of Iberdrola's nine-month adjusted EBITDA, followed by the UK (22 percent), the United States (19 percent), Brazil (17 percent), and other European Union markets and Australia (four percent).

In the Power and Customers segment, Iberdrola saw "higher sales in Q3 (at prices fixed in 2025) with higher procurement costs", it said in a presentation for the latest figures, published separately.
Iberdrola's installed capacity grew by 2.3 gigawatts (GW) during the period, mostly onshore wind (1,031 megawatts). Solar, offshore wind and energy storage comprised 688 MW, 549 MW and 56 MW respectively. It aims to add 15 GW of power capacity between 2025 and 2030.
Iberdrola ended the period with EUR 23 billion in liquidity, able to cover 20 months of financing needs, it said.
"Iberdrola's performance in the first nine months of 2026 gives us the confidence to raise our full-year outlook to at least 10 percent adjusted profit growth", said executive chair Ignacio Galán.

"Across all our geographies, unprecedented demand is driving accelerated grid build-out to 2030 and beyond".
